So yesterday was Oaks Day for Winter Racing and vintage was the G-O. The winner of fashions on the field wore a dress she had bought from vintageclothing.com.au and majority of the girls that made it into the top 10 for fashions had either purchased pieces that were certainly circa 1950's inspired or raided their grandmother’s wardrobes.
I’d be taking the latter option for sure. Although the dresses are incredibly stunning, this sample below would have sold for around or just under the $450 mark. Not cheap. And definitely not as cheap as asking your Nanna if she has some fab frock stashed somewhere that surely you could at least borrow for the day…
