Day 15: A Dress To Have And To Hold...

Day 15.

My wedding dress arrived today.

The back of my dress in full swing as
I'm about to throw the bouquet

I was married 18 months ago but finally got my dress altered. Yes altered, so that I can wear it again. This fabulous idea of mine is not only friendly to the environment because I am reusing a dress that would otherwise sit in a cupboard as wasted fabric, but also because no packaging will be used to store the dress. I'm so clever! AND this is SO user friendly to my 100 day no shop cause too! I'll get more wear out of something that initially cost more than my car (not surprising really if you refer to the earlier post with a pic of my hubcap-missing car).

The only issue now is... where to wear it? When the dress maker initially cut my beautiful wedding gown before going off to hem it etc my girlfriend and the dressmaker both commented that I could easily wear my 'new' cocktail dress to a wedding! This, I am not sure about. What if someone asks me where my frock is from?... "Well actually it's my wedding gown'. Ridiculous.

So! Where to wear my 'new' dress that is actually recycled from the happiest day of my life. Hmmm... well, there are some good racing events coming up...

See the front. It's a pretty versitile looking dress.
And I wouldn't need to wear a fascinator because I have my little headband thingy...
